Just because it is good content doesn’t meant you have to consume it.
Today’s social media landscape has been filled with millions of people’s competing for attention. Not just for a negative reason, but positive as well.
Now with negative content, most of us know what to do with it. Avoid.
But we had not been taught what to do when dealing with good or neutral content.
I had this experiences lately whereas some of my subscribed creators flaunting their wealth and talking in a tone that diminishing other people as haters and people who had emotional problem.
They said it in a nice way and even I feel their point is right. But I feel bad hearing what they’ve said. There is an argument going on in my head about whether the creator is right or I am wrong.
But then I realized that the creator is actually doing okay. I mean if that can’t be categorized as good, at least it is neutral. No where near negative territory. So it is not their fault. So is it my fault?
Here’s where it gets interesting. Usually I go with who’s wrong. Who’s fault. But I realized now that we can be both right. He is making good content and I am not liking what they have made. It is my right.
We often think in terms of who’s fault when it comes to voices or contents. But sometimes it is nobody’s fault. They can keep creating and we can just turn off what we don’t like.
After all this rule apply in everything on life
Only pick what’s benefits us or gives us pleasant feeling.
Else we would be busy trying to fix everything in the world that doesn’t fit with our criteria. And it’s a lot of work!
That is why people who scan the world for the negative aspect would find it exhausting because they found there are so many things needs fixing. While people who are scanning the world for positives simply found what they need and go on with it.
