It Is Like Choosing Clothes

Really.

The perfect analogy of making choices in life as a human - not as a robot - is by the analogy of how we choose clothes.

  1. You scan for any interesting clothes or popular trend.
  2. You tried it on your body.
  3. See how yourself look in it and how it felt wearing that.
  4. Good? Buy. Bad? Move On Next.

And the thing with clothes (which also implies our body as well) is that there is never one size fits all.

We change first and foremost. Our body weight. And so we need different clothes for different seasons we’re in.

So the strategy is to keep trying what’s interesting and aware how it looks and felt on you.

The opposite of it would be choosing like robot: that is you’re given a goal and do everything to reach that despite that it doesn’t look and feel good when you wear it. Ex. The most expensive, the most sought dress, etc.
